Hello Friends!
It’s been a while since I’ve connected with you all. I wasn’t sure if I should share this today, especially when I think about all the injustices happening to our black brothers and sisters.
It’s all so heavy on the heart.
So many of us are simultaneously fighting our own inner demons, healing trauma(s), while trying to make sense of the new world that is revealing itself each day.
I can’t help but compare how similar this feels to grieving the loss of a loved one. It’s a topic I unfortunately know all too well.
Death and revolutions are cataclysmic, and painful processes that lead to new beginnings.

Today would have been my 14th wedding anniversary; June 09th, 2006. That life seems so unfamiliar, surreal, and so painfully distant. It’s like a past-life memory, and in so many ways it is.
I’m creating a new life in this exact present moment, and so are you!
Life as we all know it will never be the same, and that’s a good thing. Whether you’re out protesting, making phone calls, sending emails, having difficult conversations with friends and family, we all have to be in this together!

healing takes time
Let’s create a future a future we all can feel proud of. A world that is fair, and safe for our black brothers & sisters. Let’s continue educating ourselves, listen more, all while extending grace and patience along the way. We need to allow space for all of it.
BLACK LIVES MATTER
I’m going to let love lead the way, just like I did on June 09th, 2006.
With Love & Honey,
